Shops

• Shops within the port include a baker, grocer, chemist, hairdresser, newsagent, clothes shops, gift shops and bank with cash point machines.
• In the main square there is a lively and colourful market every Thursday and Sunday morning with stalls offering a wide variety of goods including clothes, jewellery, gifts, souvenirs, cooked chickens, cheeses and fruit.
• The Geant Casino superstore situated in a shopping mall half a mile away on the way to St Tropez is easily reached on foot. Shops reasonably priced for the area can be found in Cogolin only a short drive away.
• On Sunday mornings from mid-June to mid-September it is worth visiting Plan de la Tour for free wine tasting, cheeses and cooked meats.

Restaurants and bars

• The port has a large number of restaurants and small bars in both squares with many being on the water's edge. All are within walking distance and some are only a few minutes stroll from the apartment.
• Restaurants and bars on the beaches open daily for long hours in the summer.
• Further afield the choice of restaurants is vast. Information is available in the apartment.

Beaches
There are two main sandy beaches in Port Grimaud, both overlooking St Tropez and the Bay of St Tropez.

• The smaller one near to the apartment never gets crowded and is only a short stroll away. The beach bar/restaurant offers sun loungers and parasols for hire and is worth a visit in the evening for dinner or just coffee or a glass of wine.
• On the main beach sailing boats, jet skis and pedalos are available for hire or you can perfect your water skiing or paragliding. The young may enjoy a bouncy ride in a doughnut.

Boat Hire
You can hire boats from many places in Port Grimaud. For larger boats an ICC licence is required but most offer boats for unlicensed visitors. Contact points are shown in the information pack in the apartment but both the nearest square and the main square offer a selection of boats for hire. Whatever else you decide to do, you will find it well worthwhile hiring a boat to gently cruise around the beautiful network of canals.

Sports

Water-sports: Sailing, swimming, snorkelling diving, water-skiing, windsurfing, jet-skiing and fishing are all available in the port or nearby.

Golf: Golf courses and driving ranges are within easy reach. The younger members of the family can challenge their parents to a round of crazy golf, either during the day or better still a floodlit round at night.

Tennis: There are tennis courts within the port just a few minutes walk from the apartment.

Other: Horse riding, walking, cycling and archery are all on offer nearby.
